With Catherine Ingram & Annette Knopp, October 1-8, 2008
Join
us for a week of Silent Celebration in
Puglia, the sun-drenched region of southern Italy, often referred to as
“Italy’s best kept secret.” Puglia is framed by the Ionian and Adriatic
Seas and, with its white buildings and blue skies, offers a timeless magic
similar to that of Greece. Our retreat facility, Santa Maria del Sole is
a carefully restored maseria
(farm) from the 16th
Century in a biological preserve of 300 acres of fields and woods of oak and
olive trees, and situated on a hilltop above a beautiful valley.

We will lodge in recently remodeled trullis, traditional buildings with
conical roofs and will enjoy Italy’s famed culinary tradition with gourmet
vegetarian meals and bread that is freshly baked on the premises.
The
retreat schedule includes two daily sessions of Dharma Dialogues, two yoga
classes, nature walks, and horseback riding, all of which are optional.
Prices
include transport from and to the airports in Brindisi or Bari, tuition, meals,
and accommodation.

section of Rome. Our days will consist
of sightseeing tours and frequent stops for gourmet meals, cappuccinos, and
gelatos in ancient piazzas. There will
also be one evening of public Dharma Dialogues with Catherine
in Rome.
